Do I check in at the front desk?
We do things a little differently at The Present. Like not putting a line of people and a front desk in between you and your room. Check-in is automated via email, and our Head of Guest Experience (AKA concierge) is always just a text away. You can text him here: 912.421.9517.
Where is The Present, exactly?
The Present is located at 224 Houston Street, Savannah, GA 31401. When you arrive, you will enter through the courtyard gate on E Hull St., on the right-hand side of the building.
Can I park there?
Street parking is always available. It costs $12 for all-day parking and is free overnight. You can pay at a parking kiosk or via the handy parking app on your phone.
Do you have WiFi?
Yes, all rooms have free high-speed wifi. Though we recommend reducing your digital intake while at The Present.
What are the rooms like at The Present?
Comfortable. Unique. Welcoming. Instagrammable. All rooms are impeccably styled and have a least one Queen-sized bed (some even have a kitchenette or full kitchen). See our rooms

What’s the neighborhood like?
Picturesque doesn’t even begin to describe it. Our hotel is on the east side of the beautiful Savannah Historic District, adjacent to Crawford Square, one of the city’s 22 storied squares. (Fun fact: Burt Reynolds built the square’s gazebo, which is home to local cocktail and cigar gatherings.) The hotel is located in downtown Savannah, adjacent to desirable Liberty Street and Broughton Street dinning and shopping districts, a quick stroll down to the Riverfront, and a 15-minute walk to historic Forsyth Park. Can I walk to restaurants and bars? Do I need a car?
We think walking is best way to explore Savannah. There are dozens of food and drink options within walking distance (20 minutes or less), but for about $6, Uber and Lyft can get you anywhere you’ll want to go in Savannah.
Do you allow pets?
We do not. Please leave your furry friends at home.
Is there a restaurant/bar at The Present?
There is not, but many dining and imbibing options are within a stone’s throw. Please drop us a note if you'd like us to send you our curated list.
Is The Present ADA accessible?
We have select ground level accessible rooms with easy access curbless shower.
Contact us before booking.
Can I smoke?
No. The Present is a 100% smoke-free facility, including the courtyard.

What is considered an extenuating circumstance?
Changes to government travel requirements. Unexpected changes to visa or passport requirements imposed by a governmental agency that prevent travel to the destination. This doesn’t include lost or expired travel documents or other personal circumstances relating to a guest’s authorization to travel.
Declared emergencies and epidemics. For example, malaria in Thailand or dengue fever in Hawaii.
Government travel restrictions. Travel restrictions imposed by a governmental agency that prevent or prohibit traveling to, staying at, or returning from the Listing location. This does not include non-binding travel advisories and similar government guidance.
Military actions and other hostilities. Acts of war, hostilities, invasions, civil war, terrorism, explosions, bombings, rebellions, riots, insurrection, civil disorder, and civil unrest.
Natural disasters, acts of God, large-scale outages of essential utilities, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and other severe and abnormal weather events. This does not include weather or natural conditions that are common enough to be foreseeable in that location—for example, hurricanes occurring during hurricane season in Florida.
